India vs Sri Lanka: Sri Lanka Bowled Out for 290 After Follow-On  

The India vs Sri Lanka match resumed after lunch. Sri Lanka were sitting at 265 runs for 8 wickets, in the Sri Lanka innings. Sonal Dinusha was not out on 85. Then went on to finish a second Test century in two matches as Sri Lanka were bowled out for 290. 

Sonal Dinusha scored 103. Sonal Dinusha played a part in helping Sri Lanka add 25 runs to the overnight total. However Sri Lanka fell 13 runs of the follow‑on mark and were sent back to bat again. 

Gill decided to enforce the following‑on giving India an opportunity to press for victory without batting a second time. The move put Sri Lanka under pressure during the second Test. 

India started to make things difficult for Sri Lanka during the innings and Kamil Mishara was out for 32. Sri Lanka lost one wicket right before lunch. This left Sri Lanka under a lot of pressure while the Sri Lanka team tried to find a way to build a partnership. Ravindra Jadeja was one of the bowlers who kept the pressure on and Ravindra Jadeja continued to make life hard, for the Sri Lankan batters. 

Pasindu Sooriyabandara offered some resistance. Pasindu Sooriyabandara remained unbeaten on 35 at lunch as India continued to put pressure on Sri Lanka. Kamil Mishara was dismissed for 32, leaving Sri Lanka in a difficult position as the batters struggled to build a strong partnership. Ravindra Jadeja kept things tight with the ball and made it hard for the Sri Lankan batters to settle. India’s strong first-innings total gave them a clear advantage and put Sri Lanka under further pressure. 

For Sri Lanka, Dinusha’s century was the highlight of the first innings. His 103 came after he resumed the day with 85 and took Sri Lanka past 280 before the innings ended. 

The India vs Sri Lanka match has now reached an important stage. Sri Lanka first need to make up the 130-run deficit and then try to build a lead of their own.. The home side will need a partnership after lunch to keep the match alive. 

The Sri Lanka follow‑on has given India an opportunity to push for a result on the fourth day. The Indian bowlers will now look to take the remaining eight wickets and put Sri Lanka under pressure.
